⚠️ Billing rollout notice
CookieSeal's paid billing flow is being connected environment by environment. This page describes the intended refund and cancellation posture for paid plans once billing is fully live, and manual handling may be used during the MVP rollout.
1. Free Plan
The Free plan is free forever and does not involve any charges or refunds.
2. Paid Plans — Intended 7-Day Guarantee
Once paid billing is fully active in production, new paid subscribers (Pro or Business) are intended to be eligible for a full refund within 7 days of their first payment. During the MVP rollout, refund handling may be manual. To request help, email [email protected] with your account email and reason.
3. Monthly Subscriptions
After the intended 7-day guarantee period, monthly subscriptions are planned to be non-refundable. You will still be able to cancel to prevent future charges once the billing rollout is fully active.
4. Cancellations
Self-serve cancellation and billing-portal controls are being connected. During the current MVP rollout, cancellation requests may be handled manually through [email protected] until the full billing flow is live.
5. Exceptions
We may refuse refunds in cases of: abuse of the money-back guarantee (multiple refund requests); violation of our Terms of Service; evidence of fraudulent activity.
6. Disputes
If you dispute a charge through your bank or payment provider before contacting us, we may be unable to process a direct refund. Please contact us first at [email protected].
